My kid was in an Allstars tournement recently. This is 1/3 of the team of pros who come out to the park to shoot the games . They shoot , process and print on site , pretty nice opperation. Pretty nice folks.
I was talking to the boss who explained to me how "in the big leagues people expect you to shoot Canon". Funny thing is that when it got overcast and they quit shooting with these Canon/ Sigma combos I was still snapping away with my carry kit Pentax /Tamron equiptment.

Funny, I was going to say: you are trying to shoot your two friends while two photographers are poaching...

It was really funny, because I have no idea who they are. It all happened so fast and as she went to pose for her friend, she instead posed for me. Keep in mind that she was about 10 feet away (17mm lens on film, no crop) and when she realized she was posting for the wrong person, we all had a great laugh and I came away with this picture.

My brother (a Canon film shooter...), trying out my K100D last fall when I went back home for my Mom's 70th birthday. He liked it, of course

Shot taken with my trusty little P&S workhorse, Canon Powershot A80.

It's a ringflash. I never thought of using it as a street rig because it's so freaking huge...

It's not quite as good in picture as it was in person as I missed the moment by a few seconds. There were 5 photographers taking a picture of the train coming down the track, as I took the picture the 2 guys behind the car had stopped pointing there cameras toward there train and the guy across the street (previously in the tracks!) started to run away.

And some pictures of my friends taking pictures of me:

At a birthday party

We went to a friend's 70th birthday party today at the yacht club. This was just one of the happy snappers.

The photo behind the bar may be of interest to sailors.

Tourists that arrived on a cruise ship.

This one looks like he had a Pentax. I had my K20D in P mode and I had dialed in F2.8 so I can't be sure about it being a Pentax DSLR.
