Couple of Sunday's ago I spent about 2 hrs at the NYBG water gardens. This woman was there when I got there and still there when I left. She was very meticulous, taking a long time to frame each shot. I sure hope she got some good keepers.

NaCl(she certainly was dedicated...it got hot out there in the sun)H2O

So I take it you are a non-chimping pro that gets the exposure & composition perfect every time? I never understood why it is considered amateurish to use the tool to it's fullest capability. The histogram is a magnificent quick check tool, you should "chimp" it out.

Lighten up Francis. I had to go back through the thread and find where you got the partial quote from. You conveniently left out the > < and the fact I was referring to the irony of a faculty member in full regalia. For the record, I have my monitor play back off and review it when I need to. I have tried to break my self from un-necessary chimping in that it can cost a shot when things are happening fast.

Go look up the word "context" before Trolling next time.

Edit: From Arpaagent's post from graduation ceremony in Raleigh, NC.

Dang I hope that's her main job... I would hate carrying that case around for a hobby only!

And isn't that more like White than grey?

Sure Gary, sure. We believe you, honest we do! What was it that my middle school Vice Principal used to say? "I'm sure you have a good explanation for this"

We went to a local amusement park this weekend and like many parks most likely, they often have park photographers that will approach your group and ask you to stand together and smile. Then later you can go to the shop, find your photo and buy copies. The first wave of young picture takers were about to stop us even before we were in the front gate and I interupted the spiele by raising my K10 and saying "Can I get the three of you to stand together and smile?" Two of them had obvious looks of scorn on their faces which is the picture I should have taken.
But once in the park, a little later I decided to let my children stand and pose for the photographer and I took a quick shot.
