I was the second car in the parking lot at Linville Falls this morning (had been shooting the sunrise elsewhere); these guys beat me to it. They had a steep muddy hike in dim light to get here:

There seems to be a leg of a support in front of his legs. He was standing still waiting (possibly to get his breath back before moving another 100m) and the tripod was resting on one pod. Not exactly a 5sec setup time when seeing a shot. A certain level of commitment to the craft .
