Getting down on it with the FA43

My wife is in position using what looks like maybe the K-3 and DA 43, and obviously Pentax.

This girl was on the beach while a bunch of guys were surfing. She seemed to have some kind of small camcorder on a crappy tripod.

This guy was snapping photos of his car all night long. We ran into him several times that evening around the lake. Don't know what equipment he had, but it seems he was using live view exclusively

A photographer shooting medium format film at Windy Post Cross. He was a really nice guy to chat with, and it was a rare pleasure to meet someone who wanted to talk about composition and light rather than comparing gear. When I arrived at the spot he was desperately rooting around in his backpack hoping to find another roll of film that wasn't there, and he confessed that he was on the last frame of his last roll. Plus he said the shortest lens he had with him was a 95mm, which is of course just a "normal" on medium format and not ideal for the composition he was envisioning. I left him there to wait for the light he was after, and I hope he got the shot he wanted on that one last frame.
