I'm still hopping to get an Auto extension tube, so I will be able to use it with my other lenses. however it's harder and more expensive. I just hope for it.
Did you never know you can use teleconverters with the contacts to use as extension tubes? Just remove the glass. Several members do this mtux and say they work just as well.

I heard it, but I prefer to have one with contacts to be usable with my DFA100WR, and those aren't cheaper I guess.
But I will look for them too. Thanks for the reminder.

Is this possible with any TC? or just some of them?

If you get the ones with AF contacts on them, they're the same as extention tubes with the contacts. I have a vivitar TC 2x, I've converted to use as an extention tube. It has the AF contacts on it because it's an AF TC. Plus they are a lot cheaper than AF extention tubes.

OK, I just stumbled on another idea, Maybe it's the time to give the Raynox a try! it will be easier to use a front converter than a rear one, and everything retained. And yes, it's more sensor friendly. (preventing dust from getting in)
Yes! that's it.

Sounds like a good plan mtux.

On my monthly lens I have decided to take the Pentax DA 50-200mm WR out by itself without a Raynox on the end. I've never shot this lens that way and am curious if it's going to be long enough for what I usually shoot.

Oh the lorikeets were on form today. So much that, if you'll all have me, despite lens repetition, I really must continue. (with the Tak 135/3.5)

Always happy to have you! Looking forward to more wonderful images. :-)

I've set myself on the Rokinon 85/1.4. The aperture lever on the lens appears to have a tendency to stick wide open, so I reserve the right to give up and use the M100/4 Macro if I get too frustrated with it. This is just an acknowledgment; the lever appears to only have sticky tendencies when I have the aperture ring set to A. Setting the aperture manually has caused me no problems (and I've taken dozens of test shots of the lamp in the living room just to be sure).

I'm pumped!

And I just set a theme with some limitations for myself.
I was thinking and developing it since morning.
Intro:
It's about one or two months which I'm feeling an urge to buy a film camera and try some film shooting. but the extra cost of processing and ... just sets me off.
So here I decided to simulate that for myself:
1. I'm going to use one roll of 36 films for every week. That makes for 5 shots per day. (Used today's shots already) But I will carry another lens to switch to, and use it after my day shots finished. so I won't loose any opportunity.
2. I will use the DxO Film Pack 3 which they gave it away for free, and will choose one Film look per week, for the whole roll you know. It's "Fuji Velvia 100" for this week.
3. And the hard part, will turn off the preview. So no preview until my shots processed.

So, let's see what I'm going to come off with this.

Yesterday I was thinking It would be nice to take more pictures. Rense told me I could join a single in again...last time I joined it was December.
I forgot about it, but this morning he reminded me again, so I am in with the Takumar 55mm

First Tak I ever owned was a 35/3.5. I love that lens.

Ok, after playing around after work last night I decided that this month will be the SMC-M 50mm f2 that came with my dad's K1000 back in the 70's. I think this one will be a fun one to play with since it was the lens I learned on when I was a kid and lucky enough to use dad's camera.
