Post Processing Challenge #124

Firstly thanks to elpolodiablo for hosting last week's challenge, secondly I apologise for not having posted this next challenge sooner. I am away from my desk and stranded with mac computers I barely know how to use. The link below should lead to a DNG file taken with my K3 and the DA*60-250. I only have the K3 with me at present so it is a recent photgraph and hope that the K3 DNG files don't present any issues that make them unhandleable by peoples' software. The cropability of K3 images may enable some interesting varations on this shot.

FYI The imageis of the English Town of Bath taken from the 'Bath Skyline' walk.

Simple File Sharing and Storage.

You have until close of play on Friday 17th October. I will do my best to provide equally as exhaustive feedback as elpolodiablo kindly did for the last challenge

Good luck

Hard to decide what crop to use. At 1024 or 1280 or whatever is allowed here you can crop pretty hard. I've tried alot of different combintations. I decided early that I particulary liked two parts of the picture, little gathering of trees up on the horizon on the left hand side and the interaction between the houses and what appears to be a grazing ground in the middle of the picture to the right. however incorporating both in a single crop meant almost no crop at all. So for my actual contribution I decided to go for the grazing ground. But say I wanted this picture on my wall at home, I would go for something like the three parted picture here. Preferably in BW... And finally since it was a landscape picture taken from above I just had to do a quick miniature feel pic aswell,

I played with creating a miniature feel in the picture.

my attempt

I was drawn to the ebb and flow of the city as it flowed into the meadows and trees along with the skyline.
