We don't get bluebirds in our yard very often. It was a nice treat this morning.

I moved the big feeder closer to the patio. Now I can shoot through the kitchen window, plus the pussy willow bush next to the feeder makes a great landing spot.

I finally got some sun and some time, well, I only got some time because my snow blower froze up and I'm waiting for it to unthaw under a tarp with an electrics heater.

I got one of everyone present today.

First the news, one of the male goldfinches has started to change colour. His breeding plumage is coming in...

Last night I filled the bird bath and today I get home from the store and installing a new video card in my brother's computer, the bird bath is empty. Once I fill it is usually takes days to be empty, so I was trying to figure out why after a few hours it was empty. Below is why:

Both birds we see around here. The Yellow Rumped Warbler only in the summer though, and not in my yard, but over at my favourite Crown Land campsite,
