This Weaver decided it wanted more than the yard, and came for a visit indoors- a regular occurrence.

Thanks for the compliment Des!
Yes, the male is what everyone I've seen people like to get photos of, but it's not against the photography rules, to shoot the lesser half of our bird world. I'm hoping since the female has been here for a few days, I'll also get to see and photograph the male.
+ 1 Great shot of the female painted bunting. They are very rare here in northern Delaware but there are a few lucky people who got pictures of them up here. Hopefully you will get the male to come by. While I have not seen a painted bunting in person, their cousins, the indigo buntings are quite common up here. This was not as sharp as I would like since I took it through a window from inside my house. I hope to have better luck when spring, and the indigo buntings arrive here in April.

This was an animation auto created by Google Assistant, so I'm not sure if it will show up for others, and if so, for how long.
A few years ago I had a piece of firewood with a cavity, so I put sunflower seeds in it to use as a prop.
I was using my K-5 for this tufted titmouse series of shots.
It's obvious that for one pic in the series no tuning was done.

My feeder creatures, I got pictures of everyone who turned up but, not a lot turned up. It's warm day, every bird that came was pretty casual.

I put up my Hummingbird feeder yesterday. I'd seen one hanging around our persimmon tree a few days ago. I got a few shots but only one came out decent. I need to remember these guys are fast and a faster shutter speed would help me capture them better.

Is that the 16-85? I seem to detect a lack of reach.

Maybe I should have stuck a converter on it

Actually it was 55-300 (at 300mm)so the extra 50mm of a135 would hardly have made any difference, but thanks for commenting
