Pleased to help jabobby. I've been pleased to contribute some of my own images to that site. Of course Cornell University's "Merlin" bird identification app is always another option.

The Cornell site is one of my favorite and I go there quite often. That is where I found the Blue-gray Gnatcatcher but never thought of the Kinglet. Later today I will post some more of the photos I've taken in the past 3 days. The warblers are moving thru so May ends up being a fantastic month for me.
Best Regards, Bob

Continuing the story of the breeding efforts of our resident Grey Shrike-thrush from post #1371

Romola and Bertrand had started late, re-using the old nest in our shed. They managed to fledge two chicks. Here are the chicks on the day of fledging. K-S2 + DA 55-300 PLM.

The chicks did well. K-3 + FA*300.

KP + 55-300 PLM.

Feeding time. (The chick is fluttering as a way of begging for food.) K-S2 + 55-300 PLM

We helped out a little with some scrambled egg. KP + 55-300 PLM

Young Bertie, the proud father. KP + 55-300 PLM

Both chicks made it to maturity and have gone off to make their own lives. Mission accomplished.

We are headed to the hot spots on the north shore of Lake Erie (Rondeau, Pelee) for a few days tomorrow, and hope to have some nice images to post in a few days' time

5 Robins, No Batman...All hatched, and are growing quickly. They will be overflowing out of the nest in no time.

I may have to see if a polarizing filter cuts down on some of the window reflection.

New arrivals, a returning pair of Rose Breasted Grosbeaks, probably the ones that have nested just down the hill from us for the last few years.

One of 6 Blue Jays who will probably be with us for the summer now.

The neighbourhood Ruffed Grouse

I had to consult my neighborhood bird expert on this one--she said, "This is an American Redstart, a female, or possibly a hatch year male."

These are great photos. Sadly, I seem to have no yardbirds, save the neighborhood Great Horned Owls that ensure nothing nesting in my yard lives beyond hatchling stage. We lost another nest last night, this one buried deep in a Holly Tree.

I have to go a lot further than my yard to get shots like that!
