A round of robins?

A collection of shots of our friendly resident Eastern Yellow Robins (which, incidentally, are not closely related to European or North American robins but were simply named for their superficial resemblance). You can see in various shots the different stages of the youngsters morphing from their brown juvenile plumage to the adult grey and yellow.

First three are with the FA*300mm f4.5 and the other eight with the DA 55-300 PLM. First, third and last shots with the K-3; remainder with the KP.

Many thanks Bob. Yes it's a joy to see them feeding the youngsters.

End of the month bird count.....

Today's images DA 55-300 PLM hand held.

2 American Tree Sparrows

Approx. 20 Blue Jays

2 Downy woodpeckers

Two hairy Woodpeckers

Between 6 and 20 chickadees

Two Redbreasted Nuthatches

Maybe 3 or four squirrels.

I have no current images for the Roughed Grouse who comes by once every few days.

It's probably still this lady and she was out there this morning fluffing up the snow.
