Nice to have a visit from a Reed Warbler in the garden last week.

Nice set and a very enjoyable post Bruce.
Thanks! All taken on the same day. I wasn't thinking "theme" when I took them, but once I saw them amongst all the other shots that day, it was a no-brainer.

Yesterday morning we had not only one or two Cooper's Hawk, but FIVE, where most were juveniles, and possibly an adult was present in the pack. They were hanging in the backyard trees, looking for a lunch. They were hunting in group around our feeders.

Indeed you did!

We had a brood of three Cooper's in our neighbourhood. Here's one of the youngsters yesterday. I heard him/her first, probably saying "Feed me!"

Bonus heron taken later the same morning.

DA 55-300 on KP, some cropping.

Same thing here, they are very vocal around here... Seems these three are often together.

Incredible, Des. Even with the 300, do you have a blind?

Thanks Julie. No blind. We have befriended her for over 7 years and she comes up quite close (maybe 3 or 4 metres for this shot). We called her Mystery, because she would appear from nowhere and because it took a while to work out what species she was. She is a sweetie and it's always a joy to see her. She even sings to us her sweet little contact whistle! You would need to be very lucky to get that close to a Golden Whistler in the bush.
