Thanks Julie. They are gorgeous. (They have a lovely song too.) Olive Whistlers are normally very shy, but our resident ones have got to know and trust us over a number of years and I could get quite close. Proximity is the key, as always.

common sparrows; distance to subject, about 100 yards or so; taken with the DA 560 & KP. Fuzzy picture, shutter speed = 1/1250, ISO = 400, & IBIS on, so I don't think it's motion-blur. Continuous AF not fast enough? (Blame it on the gear, first!)

Cross-Post.
Just after a light shower. After trailing his movements at least two hops behind with the 150-450mm, I finally managed to catch him staying still for a split second. I was swinging the gear around on a tripod with the Vanguard GH 300T Pistol trigger head.
