Not the greatest of color combinations, red & green.... but I'll post it anyway. I've grown very fond of my Tamron 28-200mm close focus lens. It performs very well.... especially for a $15.00 yard-sale lens!

Thanks! It has a unique look that is for sure. Best used for flowers and other such subjects.

Perhaps you're right. It is an odd M42 mount lens. Good for closeups IMHO but not for anything else.

I have that lens as well and have really kind of fallen in love with it. I didn't think it could live up to my Lester Dine (being a 1:1) but it manages to shine in different ways. Being a 1:2 lens doesn't detract from it at all.

As an added bonus it's a 50mm, which IMO gives it more versatility and makes it a better walkaround lens.
