Yellow violet, which sounds like an oxymoron.

Clematis Asao--three views

Three different views of clematis Asao, my earliest blossoming variety. My computer could not locate file information for these three images, but to best of my memory they were taken with Pentax 645 Z and either the 120mm or 90mm lens.

Fringed polygala (AKA gaywings) is blooming in numbers I cannot remember in prior years Perhaps my favorite Spring flower and my heart soars to find them decorating a patch of forest floor. A small, not quite tiny flower, at most about an inch long.

The first image is not macro, the second almost macro. Violets have been doing well this Spring. The big clump is along the walk to our front door, the second along some trail where we walk T. Most of the violets are purple/blue, some patches of white (mostly Viola blanda), and very, very rarely a yellow species such as thee one I posted above.

Not quite a flower, but a near-macro of a plant.
