Originally posted by Dewman There has been some question as to the sharpness of the Tamron 28-200mm close-focus lens. I have one of the silver copies of this lens and I have never noticed it not being sharp, either when in close-up mode or at any other focal length. Also, I've taken test shots from f:5.6 to f:32 and all seem to he quite sharp. I suspect that I just happened upon an exception to the rule, as most who own this particular lens speak loudly as to it's softness. That has not been my experience. I use either a monopod or a tripod with most all my photography, try to use the fastest shutter speed under the circumstances and shoot at f:11 or higher and I'm sure than helps a great deal.

Yes , the bigger the lens = More movement = Less Sharp ...
A camera can compensate for movement so much , then the image begins to suffer ..
This is especially true of macro .. Little things made big , and the same goes for movement . A small amount is turned into a lot ...
Those who cant get a sharp image , should really check out the settings they are shooting at ..
Using a tripod ? But is it a cheap flimsy one ? Even just the shutter actuation can degrade an image if the zoom and circumstances are right ..
Dewman has experience and skill , and it shows .
He may be new to the forum , digital cameras , but not to photography ...
Every time Dewman posts a picture , I take the time to absorb the skill that was used to take the image .
