That's very interesting! I'm curious if you've been able to compare this combo with the results the Raynox gives you...
The Raynox has the advantage allowing for higher magnification but the AML-2 seems better on 100% sharpness results.

Excellent, that's great information--of course, what you're really selling is the K85!

I've gotten out of practice taking macro and flower pictures. For some reason I find flower pictures right now hard to get close to right, and I used to find them so easy. But I've been taking pictures of other things or not taking pictures at all due to lack of time. But here are a few recent flower photos that I thought were better than most I've taken since I got the DFA 100 WR lens. I know it's not the lens, it's me and my technique. In any case, here are some.

The face in the flower:

This isn't exactly a macro and it wasn't taken with a macro lens (in fact, it's not good at close-ups), but since it is a flower and I like the picture, I couldn't resist adding it into this post.

I like them all, and especially like the texture that is so very evident in #1 & #4. That is difficult for me to capture a lot of the time and you did it in spades! Very nice! The two others.... orchids are they?.... are very well done, as well. The exposure and color saturation on all of them is spot-on. Very nice work, indeed.

Thanks! The first flower had a lot of texture, so I just used my usual processing for it. Camilla flowers don't always have a lot of texture to them, but this one did.

One of the orchids is softer than I would like, but it had the cutest face. The focus point was a little in front of the face and f11 wasn't small enough to capture all of the flower. It was also taken at ISO 5000 and so required some noise reduction. But it so looks like a face that I couldn't resist posting it here. I got a chuckle when I first saw it on the monitor - I'm not sure I really noticed how much it did look like a face, I just thought it was an interesting flower.

Not really macro... but, it's colorful!

My lone tulip in a pot. It's in it's waning days but, it still provided me with an early morning subject. Taken with a K-50 using a Tamron 28-200mm lens.
