Nice shots! Yes all my Columbines in my yard are in full bloom; prettiest I've seen them. Last one is a bud about to open on a daisy.
Flowers can be so unpredictable. Our weeping cherry, the lilacs and forsythias around our neighborhood and locally are really duds this Spring, All have just token blossoms. On the other hand, bluets, columbine, and especially the little violets (both violet-colored and white) are really out in force. Dogwoods, flowering crab apple, cherry, etc trees are all looking fine.

I think the amazing blossoming in my yard is due to the very warm temps extremely early this year, plus considerable rain; what ever the reason, I'm loving all the beauty!

Thanks, it took a bit of crawling around to find an isolated flower with a green background.

Forget-me-not flowers, the blue of the flower is a bit washed out, presumably because I used the wrong metering option on the K-5 and I notice I have a speck on my sensor. The things come back every year and now having seen them taken with a macro lens (Sigma 50mm macro F2.8 MF) I can appreciate them better.
