Thanks for this, and for giving the thread a bump - I love the idea of carnivorous plants. In Algonquin Park you can see three different ones all at once - Sundew, Pitcher Plants and Bladderwort. My first post in this thread is a Sundew.
There were pitcher plants and bladderwort within 50 feet of these, probably sundew, but they are a bit harder to spot. The pitcher plants has a type of bud on them, I’ll try to get back here in the next few days to try to catch a bloom. I’ve only seen yellow pitcher plants, there are supposed to be a few other varieties here too, just not as common. And I thought Algonquin park just had all that wildlife. Someday maybe I’ll get up there.

Pleopeltis polypodioides..."resurrection fern" -- this plant goes totally dormant, dry and shriveled (looks utterly dead), during dry weather, revives in a few hours when it gets a drink

I wish my houseplants would do that when I forget to water them!

So do I, frankly! I'll have to try to get an image of "dormant" resurrection fern for comparison...it's utterly amazing. They can be dormant for weeks, even months, during our dry season, and then *poof* they green up right away when they get a little water. They're not uncommon plants here, preferring the trunks and branches of our native live oaks, so I should be able to find some. It's been quite dry here this spring, I'm sure there are dormant clumps around.

This one with the Pentax F-100mm macro. A little Drosera (sundew) just starting to come up.
