The best seats are in the front office! (sigh) Any inflight sunsets?

Today's news media, in search of any sensational storyline, have ruined that by mining social media. Recently received a union email HIGHLY discouraging any inflight shots being posted, even if taken from high altitude cruise on autopilot. It's just not worth risking the license.

Yep, in the FAA it's called the "60 Minutes" factor. Enjoy the view.

Well here is another from my DC8 South Pacific days in the mid seventies. All were on Kodachrome. Those were the days before security became an ordeal.

There's always room for one more..... or two, or three... taken at Little Crow lake. I think there was a request for some sun? But, on a regular basis, I've noted the best colours in a sunset happen within half an hour of the sun going down.

Probably my favorite sunset shot of 2014, over the summer when I tried to learn how to fish, never caught a fish, but always caught a gorgeous sunset.

With my old kx and kit lens

That learning to fish thing is tough, I think it's more about learning where to fish than it is about actual technique. All I know is when I'm by myself I catch nothing, when I go out with good fishermen I catch lots. It hast to be, because of the places they take me to fish.

I seem to always have a sunset up my sleeve....
