Pair of Blackbirds fighting.

Kingfisher in midair turn, really quick shot, she took me by surprise.

Mockingbird making the most of a fresh rain puddle. I always found it interesting that I stopped some of the water drops but not the wings...

I've tried for dragonflies in flight lots of times, this is one of my better ones.

I have not checked back in with this thread for awhile and am in awe that so many "can't be done" photos are being posted. Good work!

I am wondering how many of those good folk on the other side of the net got tack-sharp photos of the netting.

This was manual focus, prefocused and quick fine tune once I had the camera up to my eye.

And this is from the one time I shot sports on film for fun (M 200/4 and super program camera). Shutter around 1/1000, hp5 400 film, the aperture was stopped down a bit (f5.6 or f8 maybe?)

Aye, it's a specialised skill and it only works from this side only...
