Tada! I'll be in for January. I've set a goal for 2015 to do a 365 project with my Q7 and lenses. So, I'm going to start of with the Q7+01 lens and cycle through them 01, 02, 03, 06, 07 for the next few months. For January as a way of getting back into these challenges (I flamed out at the end of last April), I'll stick to the Q7+01. I have a number of new lenses to work into coming challenges including the HD 55-300, DA 18-270, Heilos 44-2, and some others but that's for later. For now, it's on to January 2015 and the SiJ15 tag...

While I've never stopped checking in on this group, I believe it will be fun again to re-engage with this great group.

I'm really debating a month with the 6x7.... It will be cold weather though. I still have a few days to decide. I'll share what lens when the time comes (maybe the 90mm f2.8 - yes that is a normal FoV "fast fifty" on 6x7). I should have lots of light, and great skies for some Ilford Pan F @ 25 ISO, and Red filter... I'm just not sure I want to go through all that work haha.

Just don't drop it ...

The after-market hood for the 08 I ordered ages ago (and had forgotten about) arrived in the mail today. Decision finalised.

I'm going fish eye for January. Rokinon 8/3.5. It's gonna be interesting! :-D

(This is my husband's favorite lens. I think it's hilarious that he has a favorite from a set of things he never ever uses. lol)

Ah...the Rokinon 8mm, yummy lens. One of my favorites as well. I'll be interested to see what you do with it as well.

Almost there. Three lenses to go and I have singled in all of them. This month I will be using the S-M-C Takumar 105/2.8 on the K5. Next in line is my defective FA 80-320. It is no contact between the camera and the lens. Only the autofocus is working. And no zoomcreep. More like zoom freefall. Last one on the list is the MTO 1100A mirror lens

OK, my lens for the month will be DFA100mm macro WR.
right now I can say the worst thing about having an AF macro lens is that the AF fool you and make you use it and ruin your photos. LOL.

My standard practice with my AF macros is to use the AF to get close then switch to manual and do the real work. Looking forward to your results with the DFA 100WR - love that lens and want it - someday.

I have done this a few times over the years, and I guess I am back for more. I really enjoy the motivation this provides to find something to shoot, and to make sure I take the camera with me everywhere.

Last month I picked up a new to me Tamron 90mm 2.8 Macro. I need to learn the limitations and strengths of this lens, so I am looking forward to the month.

I would like to join the January challenge, and I'm confused now. Where do I find the thread for posting the photos? I don't see it... is it because I'm using the mobile site? Thanks.
