Day 363:

(This is actually a composite of two photos - the first of the figure and telescope, and the second of the moon shot with a telephoto at 300mm.
Thanks to Brad for some touch-up help.)

A good one - especially in the International Year of Astronomy. Really waiting for the grande finale!

Day 364:

Myself, and almost every LEGO mini-fig in my collection. Couldn't quite fit them all on there.

I couldn't waste time messing around either because it was windy out, and it kept swaying the stand I had it on, and knocking the mini-figs off. I couldn't find a good spot to stand up all the figures, with myself, plus it was windy, and I didn't want to do it inside.

So I improvised, set the Hotel on a speaker stand on top of a desk out on my back porch, and used my flash for a little fill light to counter the blow out background/sky. It was slightly protected from the wind, but gusts kept knocking the guys off.

It's not what I envisioned, but it works.

God, my eyes are always so squinty.

For a little more detail, here is a slightly larger version: Here!

Day 365:

Well, here we are.
The end.
Thank you, everyone, for everything – all year.
Thank you for all the compliments, all the thoughts, and all the encouragement.

And most of all, thank you for enjoying this project as much as I did.

Thanks to my lovely fiancee who put up with me constantly needing to take a photo after a 7-hour drive back to NY to see her, if only for a weekend. And doubly thank you to her because she knows me better than I know myself, and knew that channeling some Douglas Adams would be the most fitting way to bring this project to its conclusion.
Thanks babe :-)

Check the blog for updates regarding prints being available (soon!), and news on getting a photobook published.

Well done Morbo.

It is great to see someone with as much committment to a subject as you have.

I have to admit that I will miss these little guys. Your daily images really did provide me with a chance to step away from work and smile. If only for a moment.

Now.. I await your next project

Cheers
John

Thanks Dan, I've followed this thread since the start and enjoyed watching your creativity and originality. I must say you look younger than I had envisaged......... or am I just getting old?

Goodbye and thanks for all the lego
