They aren't the winters we had when I was a kid but it will go below Zero Fahrenheit a few times. Oscar will get hairier than he is now, and have more brown and tan in his coloring. In summer he is sleek and in shades of charcoal to light gray, with hardly any brown.

Despiite looking a bit frizzy in the fog, Oscar's feeling rather dapper, having had his hooves trimmed Monday.

This breed of cattle has the oxymoronic name of Polled Shorthorn. K-S2+FA 77 Ltd, at a show in South Gippsland.

Thanks Rod. No the most we have had is a few pet sheep. These cattle were brought by a stud to a local show. They are magnificent aren't they? Very quiet too. The big bull followed quietly on a halter, led by a girl of about 10.
