Indeed... well, groomers can do a "lion cut" but that looks more like a faux-fur hat of some sort to get a similar effect. Undeniably a dog in that disguise... wouldn't fool any self-respecting kitty that I know... still, funny!

So far this year I've seen Abigail catch and kill five spotted lanternflies while out on the deck. She's eaten three after bringing them inside.

When the light catches her face just right, it is pretty. She's a dainty little thing, just over 7lb. We're a little worried about her as recently she's been inclined to go wandering too far from the house, even out into the street (a dead-end fortunately) Her hearing is not very good any more, so she might not hear a car much less some predator that could easily take her (red & gray fox, coyote, fisher, large owls). We're pretty sure we lost the cat that preceded her to a coyote that was seen by me prowling in the back yard a few days after Mycelium (AKA "Moldy") disappeared.
