Wow, Annabelle is really small, My calico is 13lb. I couldn't live with the stress of letting my cats roam outside, it's dangerous over here with so many cars, scooters, and bad people. Hopefully Annabelle won't have the same fate as your previous cat.

Our inside cats seem quite content to remain indoors. The youngest, Boo, occasionally parks herself by the back door but she seems uninterested in actually going out, she's just waiting for one of us to come or go. Unfortunately, the "outside" gang are vulnerable to all the dangers outdoors, but we can't realistically bring them all inside the house. I wish we could, but we can't. Four inside a small house is quite enough. But they are all rescues, perhaps they have recollections of bad stuff outside, so they don't want to go out. Good thing, I'd worry constantly if they did.

She's gorgeous, Marcos! In honor of that day, here's Shadow, the least social of our semi-feral colony. Most of the rest are at least a little socialized, some more than others.

He is...lord of the carport on some days. He knows the mealtime schedule, always front and center for his plate, but he won't allow us to approach, let alone, touch him. Virtually all of the other cats in this mob are very friendly, a few of them will jump into a lap if given the chance, but Shadow keeps his distance. He gets along fairly well with the other cats, though.

He does, doesn't he? I was able to get close to him only because he had been napping and didn't realize I was nearby. He woke suddenly, gave me That Look, and moved off a few seconds after I snapped the pic. No idea why he's so standoffish, he's been in this colony for years, I don't remember that we treated him any differently than the others. As I noted once before about him, maybe he's still holding a grudge for our trapping him and taking him to TNR
