Annabelle (our cat in case you didn't know) has located a bunny nest. So far she's brought in three of the kits, all still alive, all impossible to save. I do not enjoy the cleanup and especially putting down the doomed little creatures. At 19 or perhaps 20 years of age. Annabelle is still very much a house cat, a predator that enjoys the hunt and capture just for the fun of it.

Here's a cat I've never seen before that allowed me to pause for his photo. Subsequently, I never saw him again.

She doesn't look skinny to me, maybe the angle of the shot? But her nose looks dirty -- has she been skirmishing with the other cats?

More Feral Cat from the bird sanctuary, though I am not so sure if they are feral.I met the owner of one of the kitties that I posted earlier and which I claimed was feral. My Bad!

After a hard winter and long spring warmer days are FINALLY coming. was in the 50-60s today. My cat will NOT go out in the winter but loves to lie in the back yard when things warm up a bit. (If it is raining/snowing/cold and I open the door she sniffs a bit then turns around and goes to sleep under a radiator). The last few days she has simply slept in the garden which I haven't begun to really turn soil on etc. yet. Here she is this afternoon. Note the lovage, lilies, and even forget-me-nots are just now coming up. Even weeds are barely getting going. Lately people have started putting tender annuals out around June 15 so there is still time. That said, Gurlcat is doing her part to kill weeds in her part of the garden.

True, she just seems slimmer without her winter coat. And yes, there are 2 new cats in the area, and I suspect the big male is a bully.

Was going through some old pics and found this 15 second exposure of Garrus (whom we lost this past year) asleep in a dark room. F2.8, 100mm DA macro, ISO 200. It never ceases to amaze me how still a cat can be. It also never ceases to amaze me how powerful modern sensors are (this was my K-70).
