So sorry you've lost that beautiful kitty. Seems that only after we lose a pet do we realize how much they meant to our lives.

Thanks very much for that. Yes, he was (still is) an important part of our lives.

These two washed up on my patio several years ago.

I knew better than to feed them but for a number of reasons, I did. The white cat has never been very trusting.

The gray cat would submit to being petted while being fed.

He's been missing for about a week now.

I'm trying to convince myself that someone gave him a good home

My favorite picture of him.

I hope all is well for him. Maybe he will turn up. Or, like you said, maybe someone took him in. Best wishes for your beautiful cat.

Instantly brought to my mind J. Herriot's short story extracted from one of his books and republished with illustrations as a children's book: "The Christmas Kitten," Worth reading if you have not, but beware, if you love cats it will choke you up and wring out tears. I have no doubt it will be read centuries from now.

The Neighborhood Bully

No one dares mess with this old, gnarly fella! Taken with a Pentax K-50 using a Sigma 70-300mm APO DG lens.

Here's one of Fester in a pose, and one where's he's lurking in a box, he loves when packages come and patiently stands when we open them by to get the box.

Looking at the images of your cat, Fester, reminds me of why I've always been fascinated with cats. They're such amazing animals in their very own respects. Very nice images. TFS.

Ocelot at Cleveland Metropark Zoo. Even in a still you can sense that way cats walk - smooth and silent.
