Indeed, she is gorgeous. She's wearing her "winter coat" now, so her fur is very long and very fluffy, including that big white bib. She also has little white ear tufts, which don't show well in this image. If I can, I'll get a better image of her, but she's reluctant to pose for me. Otherwise, a sweetheart, very friendly and just loves to have her tummy rubbed. I'm fond of tuxedos, too... she isn't the only one in the colony. Here's Keiki, one of my favorites, spoiled little boy that he is. Oddly, he isn't sticking his tongue out in this image, he often does, so when you look at him, you see the tip of his little pink tongue sticking out. We aren't sure if he's one of Roxy's kittens or not, he showed up by himself a couple of years ago. He may be, one of Roxy's paramours was a tuxedo, "Stache", short for "moustache" because he had a little black 'stache. We trapped him for TNR and he stayed around for a while, and then disappeared a year or two ago. No idea what happened to him, alas.

But anyway, here's Keiki ("kee-kee"), that's the Hawaiian word for "baby" and orchid folk use it to describe baby plants that some orchids produce on their flower stems.

Tesla,
Who rules the house,

Haha, regular haircuts. I know what you mean. Nice portrait by the way.

Thanks,
Though it's hard to go wrong with a guy this good looking, he's turned out pretty well for a shelter cat.

Someone shouldn't be up on the dining table... especially when it's being prepared for Christmas lunch...

Ah geez, why'd I have to discover this thread. I'm a sucker for cats. Got one (Jack) sitting by my side at this moment.

Annabelle either falling happily to sleep, or trying to stay awake and not fretting about failing. Any patch of sunshine marks a place to sleep.

Two more of Roxy's brood... Yuki (foreground) and his brother Dusty behind. These two are very interesting, they were born more than a year apart, two completely different litters, but the only way to tell them apart is to look at their tails. Yuki's has distinct orange-y rings, Dusty's doesn't. Otherwise, good luck telling one from the other. Both are blue-eyed, too, and that's a recessive trait, so mama Roxy has, somewhere in her ancestry, Siamese or other blue-eyed "oriental" genes. We have never been able to figure out who the daddy-cat is for these two, we've never seen a likely tom in the immediate neighborhood. Dusty is the elder by more than a year.
