Challenge # 162 - Old Barn

I took this about 10 days ago on a overcast Sunday morning. It was a thin cloud and high fog gray/white sky, the kind that you could describe as a bright gloomy morning where the sky just washes away. There was not much room here to get much background or anything else in the picture. Have at it and have fun!

This challenge will close on 21 Oct 2015 at 4 PM EDST.

Just some simple wide angle perspective corrections and a bit of colour and contrast adjustment. The mid left is hard to get corrected.

Let's go for a surreal Halloween-ish look. You just know something creepy is hiding behind that barn!

Pentax DCU5.
Recovering exposure and bump a few other things to increase detail. Quite amazing how much detail remains in the RAW even when overexposured!

Just about at a total loss of what to do with this image, so I went insane.

Processed, corrected perspective and rotated in Silky Pix.
In CS2 a slight posterization, deleted color in the sky, cloned out wires, plate on barn, bright weeds, added a frame to hold things together.

This barn is a difficult challenge without some gardening tools to hack away some of the vine.

For this rendition I had to walk around the barn (actually I just turned the photo over and looked at it from the other side) to get a clearer view of the structure. Well, it is a surprise, but I think it works. I hope you like it.

Oh, I forgot. Gig 'em Ags!

DISCLAIMER: This is not my photo. It is one of thousands that can be found on the web. The "Aggie Barn" is a popular local landmark on Route 6 in Texas. It recently was moved about a 1/4 mile or so as a result of widening of the highway. It is popular with Aggies as a site for engagement photos, etc. The barn even has its own website at aggiebarn.com.
