Post-Processing Challenge #166

Howdy, folks, and welcome to the Post-Processing Challenge #166 thread. I sincerely apologize for the delay in getting this started. I'm posting a photo I took about a month ago, and that obviously requires some TLC PP.

Here is the DNG: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ow1k6g4j9shmhai/IMGP9100.DNG?dl=0

I am very much looking forward to what y'all come up with...

Whenever I do this contest I usually go early and then become one of the runner-ups. Still, I'd rather go early and then admire the other entries. For some reason this image screams old school 2 /1/4 square B&W:

Interesting photo. Played with several crops but I think you have done a great job framing the subject, so I left it alone. The leaves and rocks is what I see first and they lead me to the waterfalls. The leaves on the bottom, which I dodged to brighten the color, tend to add to the framing. I am submitting two color shots simply because I put some light rays in one.

Very nice shot, i didn't feel like cropping it, i liked the leaves as much as the waterfall, and your original composition gives them the same importance.
PP soft: Darktable / Ubuntu.

Played around with duplicate mirrored layers, and then a "Man from Mars" on that:

This was discussed in Challenge #164 and there were varied opinions. I believe the final thought was for the host to set the limit for the challenge he or she is hosting. As no limit was specified for this challenge I believe multiple entries (within reason) would be OK.

I'd say 3 is a good limit for the pics.

I'm enjoying what I'm seeing.
