It has been almost a year since the last post in this thread. It is time to remedy that...here is a photograph from a trip to Grand Canyon yesterday. The sun was poking through storm clouds and rain mist in the canyon.

I just stumbled across this thread - I wish I had seen it 18 months ago before I visited the south rim.

It has been 30 years since I have been there. These are scanned from prints from my first trip there in May, 1985. We backpacked into the canyon for 7 days, I believe we hiked the South Kaibab Trail down and the Bright Angel Trail up. We did several hikes at the bottom, including Clear Creek. There is a lot more story to tell, but perhaps another time. Let's just say it is due time to go back and make some new stories...

looking forward to the story being continued. That first shot has me intrigued.
Will be back there myself again in Oct 2018.
This time I am going to journey down at least part of the way....might only be a hundred yards or so. :-)

You have a few months to practice Grant. Find a big hill somewhere to walk up and down. Easy for me to say as I have no intention of doing it. Left my run to late. Good luck.
