On a walk on Fraser Island, a staghorn fern. Some trees have dozens of these on their trunks. SFA anyone knows, the tree is indifferent, but the ferns benefit.

Spotted during a walk in Australia, No idea what this plant is. Unfamiliar plants sometimes look like aliens.

Along Gravel Creek

The creek at the back of our country place offers the opportunity of observing the effects of flowing water upon the course of the stream and upon the fauna growing along side of it. The flowing water forces changes in the shape and direction of the streambed and leaves leaning and dead trees in its wake. There must be some fungus somewhere in these photos!

Thanks Uncle-V. Sometimes I know I have a good image, but sometimes I'm surprised when an image draws a comment as I think it's only a representation that would appeal to my peculiar tastes. In any case, glad you enjoyed, and thanks for telling me.

Our walk this morning sometimes through a forest, sometimes along a field, but very pretty and only rarely a little difficult because of deeper snow.
