Chicory is still in bloom here and there. This image was taken in July along a RRWoW that's been converted to a hiking, strolling, cycling trail that runs across a salt marsh at the head of an estuary in Maine..

A fork in the trail, actually an old road, too old to ever have been paved. We did not take the fork.

Some fungi from a walk in the Warrumbungles National Park in northern NSW, Australia. All shot with the Pentax-F 50mm macro on a K3

Does it count as forest fungi if it was outside the local Dunkins?

As an aside, never would have thought I'd even *get* fungus shots with a 500mm lens, but it has a 'macro' mode, so long as you don't mind being 9 feet away when you're macro'ing close-focusing.

Afternoon dogwalk - for the next month or two it's probably going to be all about the puppy.

Toadstools around a Lime Tree
I believe this is Sulphur Tuft, and slugs have taken a few bites out of them.

With the torrential rains last night, the forest has pools where we've never seen them before. However, if you have dogs, the walks must go on.

K-3 and DA*55 1.4

400 ISO, ƒ/4, AV mode.

So long as it's a fungus, it's fine among us.

Who knows where is one was taken? That's right, at the bottom of a tree-trunk.
