From the morning dog walk. Rick and Carole are staying with us for a week (step-son and girlfriend) So we have our four and their three, 7 for dogs, 4 for people, 11 bodies on a walk, and lots of pandemonium. Corbin chased rabbit and was gone for 5 minutes to go along with the normal insanity.

Chase on the "wolf rock".

Almost everyone on the wolf rock,

On the way home.

Today's afternoon dog walk....
K-3 and Sigma 70 2.8 macro

On the old school road.

He has choice of hundreds of sticks, but this is the one.

Starting to look more like a dog, and less like a puppy.

The little guy is up to 32 pounds and is currently putting on 3 pounds a week. He is projected to be 70 pounds, although the breeders said he would be 55... and one of his brothers was 1/3rd bigger.

Great. When he's fully grown get a saddle and go riding. It seems you have a dog that's a phenomenon. But size matters not at all so long as he's friendly and gentle. We sometimes meet a very elderly lady who has a big black lab, a rescue she got not that long ago. It probably weighs more than she. It is the most mellow, gentle, sweet dog you could imagine - never pulls on a leash, never leaves her side, is glad to meet any stranger. She says she was blessed to get him.

Our old dog dreamer was a lab / golden cross, and very good natured, this guy compares with him, way more than either an Aussie or a Border collie, like his parents.

If any dog should be human-oriented and friendly to the point of irrepressible, it might be a lab/goldie mix.

From today's walk
Some dogs like balls, some like sticks

The squirrel tree. A few years ago as squirrel dug a borrow under this tree, and we left him 4 or 5 peanuts every day, Duder the toor (the yellow birch in the centre of the photograph). He hasn't been back, but, it will forever be the "squirrel tree".

He found the one little open spot where he could get drink.

The view from the ridge

Waiting for the guy taking "view from the ridge" images.
