Snowy road into a spot we call "The Sportsman's Club." There's a bargate at the main road, so only those with a key can drive in. The owners of the club plow it very soon after a snow, so it's a good place for us to walk after a storm when deep snow can make it difficult to almost impossible to walk elsewhere. It's a fairly short walk, almost exactly a mile each way. We used to be able to walk past the sportsman's club into a much more extensive group of woodland roads, but the owners of the club shut the road at the edge of their property because of problems with vandalism. M contacted them to see if they'd make an exception, or allow us to join the club because we used to enjoy the walk deeper into these woods. No luck, they wouldn't allow it. This is an IPhone image from an earlier winter.

That was a laid hedge on the left, now grown into twisted trees.
