Another spot where we walk Tralee. Dense shadows and poor soil prevent much undergrowth in this stand, but much of the trail goes through more open second-growth woods with diversified small plants covering the surface.

Two views of a woodland road where we walk Tralee. The segment in the last image was widened, if it was not originally wide, to more easily accommodate groups on horseback. The other image is a nearby stream. I haven't visited it since the recent rain, but I suspect it's become a torrent.

Quite a few bushes with these fruit on one of our morning walks. Don't know for sure what it is - - choke cherry perhaps?

People have been busy, good work one and all.

K-1 and DFA 100 Macro with HD DA 1.4 TC
Before you ask, at these settings the 100 macro and 1.4TC work just fine on the K-1.

Forest walk...

Pine needles and other ground litter. Took a bunch of images similar to these that I've scattered on other threads.

Wonderful photographs of pine needles, very imaginative subjects. I have tons of pine needles, and had not even thought of taking a photo! :>)
