I always "see" flowers presented in the forest but capturing them effectively is always a challenge I find. This one might have worked; I kinda like it.

Partridgeberry just about at its peak bloom - - mountain laurel gone by in some places, at peak or just opening in others - - sheep laurel mostly just starting to bloom

The afternoon dog walk. Buggy, and I lost my head net, so really annoying as well. I was looking for sunspots on the canopy floor.

Maiden pinks now flowering. This batch was just where we enter the woods at the start of one of our AM walks. They like sun = a meadow flower, not woodland.

The bugs are bad, but spring flowers are in bloom.

The light kissing that fern in the last shot is really beautiful... good job at capturing it!

Hawkweed and sheep laurel are more meadow than woodland slowers. Partridgeberry only thrives in deep shade. Hard to capture how delightful the patches of these little flowers are, or how extensively they blanket some of the woodlands where we take out walks.

Shelf fungi of the rigid sort = they feel like wood rather than being soft
