One of the woods roads where we walk Tralee. This one is closed by a bargate, only those with a key can drive on it. It goes past a sportsman club where they have several shooting ranges, a cozy-looking small building, and picnic tables.
The water is along an abandoned RR RoW that parallels the Swift River. It was exceptionally still on this morning.

I wasn't impressed with these images, and decided the slow ƒ4-ƒ5.6 aperture was affecting my AF.
So I went out today with the 100 macro, but the light wasn't as good and I actually got much worse, so I'm posting these

From my back yard to the morning dog walk on crown land.

A pixel peeper,

I guess you can make a case for wanting modern glass, but this lens looks plenty good to me.
Seriously what are people hoping for?

Looks good to me, Norm. I've often thought about picking up a copy of that lens, or the Takumar F70-200. But I already own the F80-200 (altho slower) and DA55-300 so...

From a dogwalk in mid-September - it doesn't look a lot different now. Canon p&s:

Two versions of a stone wall at a sportsman's club about 3/4 mile in from a bargate on the dirt road we use to walk Tralee. There's an image of the road in post #529 above.

Looks very much like the place Princess & I just walked--greener though (being mid-October in the mid-Atlantic ;~).

Yes, it's still mostly green here at the moment, but that'll change over the next month or so.

evil is lurking in the woods...
