Originally posted by Knock Norm, that heatwave that hit Algonquin in late September was a godsend. The 30 degree C weather that week made Canada feel like home. I couldn't imagine -30. We've had a cold week or two down her in Bama. Our low temps dipped below freezing for several nights, and we even had a little snow last week. When things get cold down here, all of the sudden us southerners aren't so tough. The cold old weather is even enough to keep Roy Moore from stalking teenage girls at the local roller skating rink.
It was so cold when I was walking in the park yesterday my lungs hurt if i started breathing even a little heavy.
And yet you had these young people out there, most of them in terrible footwear, not warm enough gloves or socks etc. just partying away.
