Somehow that bridge makes it an especially inviting place to walk.

Hey Knock, it's minus 30 out right now. If you came up now you could say you're never been in Canada when it wasn't in the 30's. one way or the other. We don't have so many mushrooms right now, thanks for sharing.

Norm, that heatwave that hit Algonquin in late September was a godsend. The 30 degree C weather that week made Canada feel like home. I couldn't imagine -30. We've had a cold week or two down her in Bama. Our low temps dipped below freezing for several nights, and we even had a little snow last week. When things get cold down here, all of the sudden us southerners aren't so tough. The cold old weather is even enough to keep Roy Moore from stalking teenage girls at the local roller skating rink.

It was so cold when I was walking in the park yesterday my lungs hurt if i started breathing even a little heavy.

And yet you had these young people out there, most of them in terrible footwear, not warm enough gloves or socks etc. just partying away.

When I was a daybreak street jogger, before going to a treadmill at a local health club, I set 5 degrees F as the no-go low temp. I have trouble with my sinuses getting cold, and at that temp it started to feel as though I had ice cubes under the skin around my eyes.

Todays mushroom hunt...twas a dreary Tuesday morn my friends. On a couple of the pics I used onboard flash set at -2 (I think it might help with the background from getting burned out?). The 4th pic was actually from a different shroom hunt.

Normally I have my tam90 stuck to my camera. This past week I gave it a rest and gave my sigma 18-250 DC macro HSM some time on the mount. To this point I had been a little underwhelmed by this lens, but I had a great week with it and my confidence is now restored.
