A little off the intent of this thread, but here are trees in the woods at Longwood Gardens, illuminated at night for Christmas. Is this a scene from a dream or a nightmare?

It's been mighty chilly down here this week. Today we were greeted with sunshine and temps in the mid-40's....it was time to get the hell out of the house! I've been playing around with a few nik plugins with my PP and I've also been into the wine, so there's a good possibility I might have overcooked some things (please let me know if it's unbearable) . The bluebird was nice enough to land on a ray of sunshine for me. He was patient while I fumbled around with focus--still missed but these were my best 2 of that pretty bird. I have to admit that taking a photo of some leaves in ice made me feel like I was Norm for a moment. Taken with my sigma 18-250mm DC macro HSM on a k70.

From a few days ago, a forest walk with the dogs.....

K-3 and DA 18-135. click on the images to see exif.

These bails of hay were left out for deer, but they were buried by snow. Now they are out again, but there are no deer tracks nearby.

It was a blustery day

After a substantial rain followed by a deep freeze, a local stream was flowing impressively and there were lots of interesting ice formations, not always easy to capture in a photo. The bridge looks as though it were built in the wrong place, but there's more water flowing under it. And a tree that the woodpeckers have been utilizing.

There are a few dead leaves around this bridge. Taken in late November:

I take the camera every day, on our dog walks but I rarely get good light. A few exceptions.
