Looks like you have a pet Raven now! They never let me get that close.

He was at the end of the Peck Lake Hiking Trail. Tess thinks he's was raised by someone and let go. I think he just learned to beg from trail hikers. With a million people a year visiting the park, I'm guessing you make a pretty good living just hanging around with the tourists.

He was definitely shier than the chipmunks, and left when a second couple arrived. But he was also asking for bits of Tess' power bar. He turned his nose up at pieces of her apple.

He clearly had an understanding of what could be had in terms of getting food from humans.

That white thing behind him on the ground is a piece of apple... he's like "I know you have something better."

Todays expidition, this time of year you don't have to go far to get lots of mushrooms, so I used the DA* 55 1.4, and looked for the big ones that wouldn't need macro, finishing off with a Pixel Shift DA*200 image.

Yesterday at the Algonquin Park, Lookout Trail

---------- Post added 09-20-18 at 09:50 AM ----------

Yesterday at Peck Lake

No Raven, but I went for a walk on the trail anyway. There were a few shrooms near where the Raven was.

Halfway around I spotted this guy.

I know I could get a better, closer shot from the rock behind him, so I went back 100 meters. Looking the other way from the rock face.

OK dude, you are too close now.

I kept walking around the lake on the park trail, I got to the other side of the lake and guess who was there?

Dude, you're a friggin stalker, leave me alone already.

I had not seen this type of shelf fungus for several years, but I've encountered it several places recently. I'll probably post some additional images of it but they need a little PP first.

Bunyip State Park, West Gippsland, Victoria. (The Bunyip is a fearsome creature of Aboriginal lore, that lives in rivers and swamps. Didn't encounter one on this walk. ) K-S2 + DA 18-135.
