Had a photo walk in the woods behind my house during my break today...

K 50 1.2 and a couple leaves with the sun right behind them.

Plenty of dead wood and ferns everywhere. M 100 2.8

M 100 2.8 showing its nice rendering of subjects. It's early for fall colors in Georgia but in dense woods where there's not much sunshine, trees are tricket to think it's later in the year.

Surprisingly most of my keepers were from the Tokina 24 2.8 that I used at the very end. I got it out for this shot - a tree cracked years ago and from its trunk new life came up. The original trunk doesn't even exist anymore.

Another one from the Tokina 24 2.8. You know what they say, rocks that don't roll get moss on them...

Yesterday, with Cousin Rose, we like it when people come and "do the walk."

You were afraid of spooking them and couldn't get close?

From a couple days ago.

It's the end of mushroom season here but I still found a few today. Not inspiring enough to use pixels shift, but still good enough to set up the tripod.

K-1 and DFA 100 macro,

Two of the trails we walk regularly. Variable coating of leaves on the trails and forest floor.
