I was on my way to the Casino in Sumas WA for some Mexican food. The cut corn, the farm and I believe the Canadian Rockies in the background caught my eye. It was quite dull at that time of the evening. Let's see if you can make it come alive.
Great shot for the challenge! FYI, the Rockies are a 500+ mile drive away (800+km), so the mountains are likely part of the Coastal Range if you were looking north. Otherwise the Cascade Mountains.

I think you are correct. Anyway, they sure are beautiful and I plan on visiting them in April.

I really liked the black and white that todd entered. If it had more detail in the mountains I would have probably picked it as the winner or close to it.

The artistic quality of JHfwp was very nice.

Doroth2 was very daring with the off color entry. I liked it.

Ffking with the gold cast was very interesting.

D1NO was very brave by placing the moon in the picture. I think he was testing us. Looks more like Uranus to me.

Now we come to Wildman which seems to have disappeared. This is a good thing for me because I was going to flip a coin between him and BigMackCam.
The detail in the mountains that Wildman pulled out was nothing less that incredible while BigMackCam's entry was so close to what my eye saw,
I will have to give the NUMBER 1 SLOT TO BigMackCam.

Thanks to all for playing.

Thanks, Nelson! I enjoyed this - it was a lovely scene to work with. Thanks for hosting & judging.

All - please give me 24 hours; I just got in from a rock concert ("The Stranglers", a great punk / post-punk band from my youth and still going strong!) and it's late here. I'll have the next challenge posted by the end of Thursday!

Cool, I wonder if it will be a band shot.

I wish. They were very touchy on cameras at the venue, and I don't own a camera phone (I think I may be the only person left in the UK without one!)... But I'll find something worthwhile for the challenge!

Oh, very nice indeed - congratulations. Looks great... I love the way the Pentax part is blacked out... The K3 Stealth Camera

Right, I'm off to bed...

By way of explanation - will probably be deeply involved in other issues for the next few weeks so if I did win I wouldn't be able to give it the attention it deserve so I withdrew my entry.
