PP Challenge 174, Farm in Sumas

Hello Guys and Gals. This is a scene I noticed one evening when I was on my way to the Casino in Sumas WA for some Mexican food. The cut corn, the farm and I believe the Canadian Rockies in the background caught my eye. It was quite dull at that time of the evening. Let's see if you can make it come alive.

The Challenge will end March 8th.

Hmmm... I found this one tougher than expected. Did some tonal editing in the sky (and got rid of one "blob" (a sensor or lens mark just above the widest mountain) then went for a vintage warm glow and some HDR-style processing to add some menace Small horizon adjustment, then a crop to centralise the "fan" of the field stubble, lose some of the empty sky and to give a panoramic feel, exaggerating the space. A little light grain and vignetting... Processing done in LR6 and Color Efex Pro... and then some more in LR6

EDIT: Re-posted my edit of the pic to include some spot removal of birds in the mountain areas

I like the PP Challenge concept. This is my first effort, and I used Darktable.

Nice lines in the foreground, Rimfiredude.

Went for a vintage, semi-painterly look.

After making my edit, I saw that BigMackCam used almost exactly the same crop! Oh well, I think all the blue sky takes up too much room too!

Thought I'd try a tight crop.
