Hmm, FA 43 as a 'nifty'?
Nifty yes. Fifty no.
I asked already

Nothing to stop you using it for the month though - the theme is not compulsory....

Yes, that is true. Spring must be putting my head mixed up. So I cannot read properly anymore.

I'll definitely be in...
Funny enough every one of my fifties is manual (unless I acquire something new)
I did my k1.2 last year
Curious to try either my a1.7 or revuenon 55 f1.2
I'm leaning to the 55 just because I'm considering selling it and this might settle the decision one way or the other...

Cool - I was thinking about doing it with my 645 55mm lens (ha actually 35mm in normal focal length)... but maybe I'll do a month of the helios, a versatile lens. I could do a month of my reversed element helios, but it would get repetitive after the first couple of days. :P

Edit: clearly I should use my beloved m42 50mm Takumar!

So, to fifty or to run back to my plastic fantastic? Really not sure at this point.

Also, themes need determining.

I'm in. Bariatric surgery was a sucess. And I've almost fully recovered (still some halos from bright lights at night) from cataract surgery in both eyes. I must admit that it is a real pleasure shooting w/o glasses. I must admit that I'm not a big fan of 50mm. So to provide a bit of variety I'm going with something else. I just acquired a Samyang 16mm f/2.0 that fits my style of shooting almost perfectly. Since it's manual focus it takes a bit more practice to bring out it's best qualities, so a month with it will be very good.

That lens is so cute. I enjoy just looking at it.

This is a tough decision for me. I have a couple of variants of Tak 50's, and a Helios 44, but after a month of shooting the Tak 135, my impulse is to swing the pendulum back towards a more extreme wide angle, and towards FA Limited glass. The impending arrival of the K-1 begs for it. The FA 43 is the closest to the theme but perhaps I could save it for June if "40's" will be the theme. The FA 31mm is beginning to scorch the inside of the wooden box I keep it in (It has heard its master's call). I also recently picked up an SMC A 20mm f:2.8 for ultra-wide angle full frame shooting. Decisions, decisions...

I have had great luck with short distance shots with it. Intimate portraits and vignettes of life. Perhaps because it is so small it does not intimidate.
