Well, it certainly is a very photogenic lump of rock

Very well captured - and a nice juxtaposition between the ever-changing city and the eternal mountains.
Thank you. I appreciate that They have been saying the rock is due for an eruption. The question is when

Gullfoss, Iceland

We were at Gullfoss not too long ago. Cloud cover was more solid, no blue patches at all, which makes the image I got much warmer, although I can push it more toward blue. Awkward falls to photograph, being down in a canyon, with masses of mist and spray that would coat my lens in an instant if the wind direction changed, which it did. Can you spot the other tourists?

Yes I can! Not for the people that baby their cameras!

This was an interesting photo to take, There were a lot of weeds and tall grass going though the fence and a shallow ditch. I was trying to get a clear view along the fence, but there was also some poison ivy there, and I was wearing shorts. Well I think I avoided the poison ivy, I'm would be itching by now.

Indeed. We were really just passing by on a trip to one of the glaciers and had a quick stop to pump up the tyres of our funmobile (after letting out some air to get a bigger footprint when driving on mud and snow).

Here's Bonnette de l'Eveque ("the bishop's hat"), Madagascar, seen from Route National 7 on our way to Toliary.

We spent as much time as we wanted at Gullfoss. I walked out on the point between the falls where the other tourists are standing in the first image - - the second image was taken from out there (I got a few that were better = dry the lens with my back to the wind, when the wind shifted, turn and shoot almost without framing). However, I did not think to hike up to the ridge where other tourists are walking in the last image. That might have been a better vantage to look down the canyon.

A couple of shots of downtown from the observation platform at the local zoo, with the DA*60-250 on the K-1 at 250mm.

A couple from June, xposted to the Takumar Club. We moved across town earlier this month, but we used to live just across the road from that watertower. Sadly, the lake isn't in our backyard anymore .
