Thanks Paul - here are a couple more (pretty sure these have been posted before). It is an amazing experience to glide past these, and to witness the noise and turbulence of the bergs calving off the glacier.

The noise that glaciers make is impossible to describe, it can only be experienced. When we were in the Canadian Rockies near Mt. Edith Cavell, occasionally one of the glaciers would make a deep, loud, low boom that echoed around as it lurched a little on the rock. You could feel it in your stomach - you knew instantly that something really huge had shifting a bit.

Strawberry fields (I'm fairly certain) near Oxnard, Calif in early October. The mountains in the distant background are currently being consumed by the Calif wildfires.

Looks like contour agriculture, but these are settling ponds full of nasty toxic stuff. Scan from a chrome

Thank you. It's usually dark and grey this time of year, but we are having cold clear mornings bringing fog for the last week or so I appreciate your kind words

Just woods near the reservoir. We cannot walk Tralee here - $600 fine for bringing in a dog that might poop somewhere. I don't know how they deal with the poop from squirrels, raccoons, opossum, fox, mink, coyote, mice, rabbits, deer, voles, moles, beaver, muskrat - - to say nothing of sparrows, robins, swallows, eagles (they nest in trees right at the edge of the water), hawk, geese, merganser, loons, ducks and other waterfowl - - turtles, frogs and uncountable numbers of fish - - but dog poop 500 yards back from the water is the real worry. And all the animals listed, and many more, are always in the area near the reservoir. Keeping dogs out is the only way to insure pure water for the people of Boston.

Local park in November (no doggie restrictions in place...yet):

From another park, very close to home. There's a creek running behind the row of trees:
