Outstanding series Timur.

These are from Lake St.Clair, in the highlands of Tasmania. The lake, Australia's deepest, was carved by a glacier. You can see the etchings on the rocks from when they were carried and dumped by the glacier. The whole area (Cradle Mountain-Lake St.Clair NP) is a World Heritage Area, recognizing its remarkable natural features and rich biodiversity. K-3 + DA 12-24.

Thanks Walt. This is typical of the creeks around here. They can go from a puddle to roaring rapids in a heartbeat!

BTW: I had never thought about it until we visited here, but Cape Hope, the southernmost tip of Africa, is at latitude 34o4' S. Much of the boundary between Virginia & North Carolina, Between Kentucky and Tennessee, as well as the northern boundary of Texas are at 36o30'N. That means parts of North Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas are closer to the North Pole than the tip of Africa is to the South Pole.
