Wife & newfound friend standing out in Icelandic scenery. The Viking settlers cut down massive numbers of trees leaving much of the island far more bleak than they found it. There's a reforestation program under way, but it takes a long time and a lot of volunteers to plant a million trees, and that covers only a tiny part of Iceland.

Jeannie waits for me near the walkway that separates two ponds.

Just a snap from Lonesome Dove Ranch in Southlake, taken in 2016. Tino is snooping around under the tree...

The current scenery is rather stark with winter snow and fog limiting visibility, some type of a livestock feed plant is in the background.

Pretty nice here now - it's supposed to hit 65F or so later today under sunny skies. This was taken yesterday near the creek crossing at Parr Park. (Jeannie is somewhere in the frame as usual!) The first new tree leaves are popping out. (xposted from the "Your Place" thread.)
