Under the pecan trees at nearby Parr Park a couple weeks ago.

Big Bear Creek, just a 10 minute hike from the park:

An "everyday" scenic for me - Jeannie and I cross this bridge a few times a week. (she's at right in the frame). This is the same bridge seen a couple shots up the page.

That certainly looks like a pleasant place for an evening stroll. Keep cool in the heat afflicting your area today & in the near future.

Thanks Walt, and it is a nice place. It had been inundated with photogs taking graduation photos but has settled down by now. It's not too bad outside today, "only" 92F with a nice breeze and lots of puffy white clouds against a blue sky. It can be much worse, believe me! There's a even a bit of a cooldown coming by the end of the weekend, with highs only in the 80s.

Here's a shot taken at Parr Park last night - temps were probably in the low 90s at the time:

It's getting cooler in your neighborhood because it's scheduled to get hot in mine over the next few days. Over 90 today (Sunday) and possibly mid- to upper 90's Monday with high humidity, heat index expected to go as high as 107. For me, that is go-down-into-the-basement-studio weather. Time for postponed table-top and macro photography.

You guys aren't quite as acclimated to that kind of heat as we are, so take care out there! Not nearly as nice today - its going to be 93F, but the humidity has skyrocketed to 65% Not much of a breeze, either.

Taken at the same park as my previous post...pecans and picnic tables:

I love the soft shades of green in the first shot.
